Cognite is heading to Scotland to attend SPE Offshore Europe in Aberdeen (Sept. 3-6, 2019).
Oil and gas professionals will descend on Aberdeen, U.K., next week to attend Europe’s largest exploration and production event, SPE Offshore Europe. Running from Sept. 3-6, the conference will attract more than 36,000 attendees and 900 exhibitors.
Cognite will be in Aberdeen to spread a message about the opportunities at stake for the digitalization of the oil and gas industry, sharing insights from both industry leaders and field workers.
On Wednesday, Sept. 4, Cognite CEO John Markus Lervik will participate in a panel discussion on digitalization, during which he will discuss how digital technology can improve operational efficiency, lower production costs, maximize recovery, predict maintenance, and reduce nonproductive time.
Other panelists include Rami Alien, general manager of digitalization upstream at Shell; Rob Kelly, head of upstream digital at BP; and Rohit Singh, digital program manager at Equinor.
Earlier that day, Cognite and Aker BP will jointly present the paper “Digital Worker: Empowering Offshore Operators with Easily Accessible Data to Improve Efficiency and Safety.” The paper details the design philosophy the two companies are using to create data-driven solutions that help field workers do their jobs more efficiently and safely.
