Cognite’s latest product release solidifies Industrial Data and AI leadership; empowers users with increased flexibility of AI agents for AI-powered insights
PHOENIX, AZ - April 1, 2025 - Cognite, the global leader in industrial AI, today announced the latest release of its industrial AI and data platform, Cognite Data Fusion®, which includes key new improvements to Cognite Atlas AI™, Cognite’s industrial agent workbench. The release allows users to easily customize AI agents, enhance collaboration for industrial users in troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and accelerate production optimization workflows with Petex simulator integration. By streamlining industrial workflows, Cognite Data Fusion® and Cognite Atlas AI™ increase production, reduce downtime costs, and increase workforce capacity, accelerating the time to value of digital transformation initiatives across the enterprise.
"This release represents a significant step forward in making AI agents more practical and powerful for industrial users," said Knut Vidvei, SVP of Product Management at Cognite. "We're providing the tools to not only build tailored AI agents but also to seamlessly integrate them into critical workflows. At the same time, we are continuously enhancing the data and AI capabilities within our product, improving efficiency and driving value for our customers.”
Key Highlights of the Release:
- Increase flexibility in Industrial AI Agents: Introducing a REST API agent tool gives AI agents greater access to real-time data and APIs, which allows for more customized access to data and processes, expanding the scope of AI-powered capabilities to any API within Cognite Data Fusion.®
- Real-time Production Optimization: Cognite Data Fusion® now supports connectors for Petex PROSPER and Petex GAP, enabling real-time optimization of wells. This automates data connectivity between Cognite Data Fusion® and Petex simulators, eliminating manual effort and improving operational efficiency.
- Supercharged Collaboration within Industrial Canvas: New features streamline collaboration for troubleshooting and root cause analysis, including the ability to create tables within the workspace and the addition of labels for organizing and searching for relevant information. These additions help industrial users to more effectively analyze operations, retain knowledge, and recall corrective actions.
Along with this product release, Cognite has also released the latest edition of the Cognite Atlas AI LLM & SLM Benchmark Report for Industrial Agents, which now includes Document Question Answering (Document QA) in addition to Natural Language Query, offering a more comprehensive evaluation framework for industrial AI agents.
