Cognite Data Fusion® enables E&P operators to become innovators in subsurface and drilling fields, by putting data first
OSLO, NORWAY -- Cognite is transforming the subsurface and drilling sectors through their flagship product Cognite Data Fusion® (CDF). CDF liberates and contextualizes data, giving experts and machines instant access to high quality, actionable data across the entire upstream O&G value chain.
Cognite Data Fusion® is used in subsurface and drilling work to leverage expertise across the disciplines, and enable real-time analysis, collaboration, and operations. This open and collaborative approach, where data is contextualized across domains and made instantly available, translates into crucial savings by providing new actionable and valuable insights and by minimizing inefficiencies between domains.
Cognite Data Fusion® (CDF) has a history of disrupting heavy asset industry by providing the technology that enables data-driven decisions and operations, making it easier for ecosystems to communicate, optimize and scale, through data liberation and contextualization, translating into customer value. CDF currently saves hundreds of millions for clients in the energy industry.
CDFs core capabilities for contextualizing IT & OT data from topside facilities, including sensor data, maintenance data, 3D and documents, are now extended to cover drilling and subsurface.
CDF can now also contextualize reservoir data with well and production data to improve and shorten decision making processes, minimize risk and power more efficient discipline collaboration across the upstream O&G value chain. This combines and automates work processes, for the extraction, storage, and contextualization of subsurface and drilling data.
“The subsurface specific CDF capabilities are tackling one of our industry’s biggest challenges related to finding and efficiently utilizing the vast amount of data available for our subject matter experts,” said Kjartan Nesse, Vice President of Digitalization, Aker BP. “Combining this with solid data management capabilities and CDF’s open APIs for 3rd party integration, data science framework and orchestration, we are now standing at a true crossroad for how we and our partners work with subsurface and wells.”
“We’re creating a new future with contextualized OT/IT data, seamless dataflows and self-guided work processes,” said John Markus Lervik CEO, Cognite. “Contextualized data creates a common language among operators, partners, service companies and authorities, giving them ownership and empowering them to make the best decisions to scale efficiencies, insights and discoveries across organizations.”
Cognite is the only company that provides access to data and insights on an entire asset, allowing full integration of planning and operations.
