サウジアラムコの子会社であるサウジアラムコデベロップメントカンパニーとCognite AS（以下、Cognite）は、戦略的デジタル変革パートナーシップの一環として、合弁会社（以下、JV）を設立することで合意しました。
サウジアラムコとCogniteは、サウジアラビアおよびより広範な中東・北アフリカ地域におけるデジタル変革に特化した新会社を設立。このJVは、石油・ガス、電力・公益事業、製造業、海運業を含む業界全体の顧客向けに、エンドツーエンドのデジタルおよび先進的なソリューションを開発、展開していきます。
このソリューションは、生産と歩留まりの最適化、予知保全、現場作業のデジタル化、高度な安全対策、産業活動の環境フットプリントの削減など、企業のデジタルトランスフォーメーションを可能にします。このJVは、Cogniteの主力産業用データプラットフォームであるCognite Data Fusionをコア技術として活用し、データホスティング、分析、人工知能のための最先端のクラウド機能を活用します。
サウジアラムコとCogniteは、規制当局の認可を受けた後、2021年にJVが稼動すると予想しています。
